Ishq Iqbal into semis after marathon match

Raipur, Feb 24: Top seeded Ishq Iqbal from West Bengal defeated Aditya Senthil from Tamil Nadu with the score of 6-7(5), 7-6(2), 6-3 in an 3.40 hours encounter in the Gondwana Cup Tennis tournament match being organised under the aegis of Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association (CSTA) here on Wednesday. Similarly, Madhvin Kamat from Gujarat defeated Ojas Theo from TN with the score of 6-4 whereas Olympian Vishnu Vardhan defeated Lakshya Gupta from UP with the score of 6-3, 6-4 to advance into the semi-final of the tournament. Lohit Akash Badrinath from TN defeated Rohan Mehra from Delhi with the score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 to enter into the semi-final of the tournament. In the doubles category matches, the pair of Laksith and Chandil Sood from Punjab defeated the pair of Raghav Jaisinghani and Karan Singh by 6-2, 6-1 whereas the pair of Parikshit Somani and Paras Dahia defeated the team comprising Yash Chaurasia and Tushar Madan by 7-6(1), 6-3 to enter into the semi-final of the tournament.
Similarly, the pair of Ishq Iqbal and Mohit Mayir defeated the pair of Yash Yadav and Madhvin Kamat with the score of 6-3, 6-4 to enter into the semi-final whereas the pair of Ankit Chopra and Aditya Tiwari also entered into the semi-final by defeating the rival with the score of 6-1, 6-2 in the last match of the day here.
Semi-final matches would be played on Thursday morning at Union Club Tennis Court.
