Students, youth take part in I-Day run

Bilaspur, Aug 18: In the Independence Day Run organised by the district administration and Sports & Youth Welfare Department on eve of I-Day, the public representatives, administrative officers, employees, sports players, noted citizens, school students and youth took part enthusiastically.
This district-level I-Day run was flagged off by Mayor Bilaspur Ramsharan Yadav and IG Police Ratanlal Dangi. The I-Day run started from Nehru Chow and passed through Devkinandan Chowk, Company Garden, Raghvendra Rao Sabha Bhavan, Sadar Bazar, Golebazar and concluded at Pt. Devikinandan Dixit Sabha Bhavan in Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidyalaya premises.
On this occasion Mayor Ramsharan Yadav in his address said that the country got the Independence due to sacrifice and martyrdom of the freedom fighters. In this country, people all the religion, caste and communities live together and he held the need to maintain this harmony and ensure peace and brotherhood in the country and surge on path of development.
IG Ratanlal Dangi in his address said that the citizens should maintain social harmony all the time and extend what all possible for development of the country. To boost the morale and motivation of students taking part in the I-Day run, Upper Collector Jaishri Jain, police officers, DEO AK Prasad, Asst. Director Sandeep Chopde, and other district -level officers and employees were present. To make this organisation successful, School Education department, Nagar Nigam and other extended valuable contribution.
