Drive continues against people who let their guard down

Bhilai, Jul 23: Overlooking the high possibilities of the third wave of Coronavirus pandemic, most of the denizens have become careless and are letting their guards down or are not wearing the masks.
The negligent attitude of the people in wearing masks and following the Covid appropriate behaviour can lead to a surge in covid cases in the district.
The administration is very concerned about the increase of crowd in public places after re-opening of all the places including parks, cinema, markets, etc. For ensuring compliance of covid appropriate behaviour on the part of common people at these public spots, the Bhilai Municipal Corporation is regularly conducting drive against the mask violators. In the last one week, the teams of BMC took action against 146 people and recovered Rs 17550 fine from them.
It is mandatory for every person to wear a mask outdoors for the prevention of coronavirus infection. Collector and Bhilai Corporation Administrator Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and Bhilai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi have directed to take regular action against those violating the rules.
The team of Health and Revenue Department of all the zones of the corporation took action against the people who came out in public places without face mask. The teams are inspecting the market areas, shops and public places and major traffic junctions and are taking action against those who disobey the rules.
They are keeping an eye on the traffic squares with high traffic pressure and action is being taken against those who are found moving without masks.
BMC administration has appealed to the general people to wear mask before leaving their homes and avoid visiting the overcrowded places. Strict vigil is being maintained on overcrowded places and the civic body teams are taking action against the violators. Additional Commissioner Ashok Dwivedi informed that the drive will continue in future also.
